This Oblivion Remastered mod turns Cyrodiil’s infamous goblin wars into dynamic gobbo chaos with a chance of automatically erupting into a fresh cross-map scrap every week

OG Oblivion’s AI goblin wars are the stuff of legend. Oh, by the way, someone wrote in an obscure forum post or article you likely read after you thought you’d turned over every interesting stone in Cyrodiil, you can cause full-on goblin wars just by nicking their totems.

Naturally, it’s not taken Oblivion Remastered modders long to turn their attention to making this cool system with some typical 2006 limitations into something with even more wacky potential that’s less reliant on you deciding to spend hours personally playing puppetmaster.

Enter modder NaiadGirl’s ‘Enhanced Goblin Wars‘. While it’s not the first mod for the remaster to try its hand at improving the gobbo war mechanics – ImmortanJoel’s ‘Goblin Wars Remastered‘ scored that honour at a glance – it does look like the most detailed and expansive add-on for goblin fight club sickos right now.

It makes the goblin wars dynamic rather than static. So, instead of there only being two goblin wars that start without your input in the base game, with any additional ones only happening if you personally get involved and trigger them by moving the seven different tribes’ totems around the map, the gobbos will now start fresh conflicts on their own.

“Every 5 in-game days, a new Goblin War has a 20% chance to trigger,” NaiadGirl wrote, “Surrounded by shadow, sneaky goblin thieves steal a rival’s totem when no one’s watching, and place it in their respective lair. The War Chief of the wronged tribe will embark with a group of Greenskins to the opposition’s lair, and attempt to take back what is theirs! That is, if they’re able to cross Cyrodiil alive…whether they succeed or not, they’ll be causing trouble in the countryside and cities alike.”

The mod also makes sure the goblins can pursue their totem no matter where in the world it ends up – even if that involves assaulting and breaking into the Imperial City itself, a tweak that’ll be endlessly helping if you still fancy nicking totems yourself to cause chaos.

Plus, the modder’s included an optional Amulet of Goblin Friendship found near Vilverin, which as its name suggests will make every gobbo refrain from trying to bash your skull in. Very handy if you want to kick back with the popcorn and watch a goblin skirmish unfold from right up close, because the arena’s just too boujee a means of fulfilling your need to watch some NPCs have a bloody barney.

It’s worth noting that the mod can add some extra complications to the quest Goblin Trouble by moving the totem it involves about, but NaiadGirl reckons it “shouldn’t be game-breaking” so long as the quest marker still points to the totem in its new location.

All Easter Egg Locations in Sol’s RNG

    Sol’s RNG Windy Egg

    • Location: In the Grassy Biome, on top of a mountain.
    • Condition: Only spawns at night.

The Windy Egg can be found near a tree at the top of the large brown mountain on the right side of the map when it’s Windy Weather. When you interact with it, you’ll see the options Kick or SMH. Choose Kick to make the egg drop so you can collect it.

    Sol’s RNG Rainy Egg

    • Location: Near the camping tents and the campfire.
    • Condition: Must be raining.

When it’s Rainy Weather, head to the circled area to look for the Rainy Egg. You’ll find it on a small ledge just below the campfire tents. At the edge of this spot, clip through the area to discover the egg hidden inside the opening.

    Sol’s RNG Hellish Fire Egg

    • Location: Inside the Hell Biome, near the Bridge.
    • Condition: Spawns during the Scorched Earth event.

Go into the Hell Biome and jump off the edge below the bridge. As you’re falling toward the core, you’ll spot the Hellish Fire Egg. You can collect it while you’re in the air and even during the fall.

    Sol’s RNG Corrupted Egg

    • Location: Close to the Leaderboards.
    • Condition: The weather must be Corrupted.

Look for five small purple eggs, called Rotten Eggs, scattered around the Corrupted Biome. After collecting all five, you’ll be teleported back to the front of Jake’s Shop. There, you’ll find the Corruption Egg waiting for you.

    Sol’s RNG Blizzard Egg

    • Location: Near the High Rocks.
    • Condition: Spawns inside the Snow Biome.

When it’s Snowy Weather, head to the top of a lone mountain near the Obby Blessing. That’s where you’ll find the Blizzard Egg.

    Sol’s RNG Sandstorm Egg

    • Location: Inside the Sandstorm Zone.
    • Condition: The entrance spawns only during a Sandstorm.

In the Sandstorm Biome, keep an eye out for a cave marked with a ??? above the entrance. This cave spawns randomly and can appear anywhere on the map. If you come across it, go inside and look in the corners to find the Sandstorm Egg.

    Sol’s RNG Starfall Egg

    • Location: The Meteor lands in a random area inside he zone.
    • Condition: Spawns during Meteoric Weather.

To get the Starfall Egg, jump into the Starfall Biome and collect eight different orbs scattered around the spawn area. After collecting all of them, the Starfall Egg will fall from the sky and land like a meteor, ready for you to pick up.

    Sol’s RNG Null Egg

    • Location: Inside the Null Zone.
    • Condition: Must find a Null Zone teleport platform.

When you come across a Null Biome spawn entrance, stand still for about 10-20 seconds, depending on the number of players standing on the platform. You’ll soon be teleported to an alternate world where the egg will appear right in front of you.

    Bonus Egg

The egg can be found inside the UGC Store and is accessible at any time, with no specific conditions required. To get it, simply click the Egg button within the shop. Some players have mentioned needing to interact with it or make a purchase, while others report that the egg appears naturally in the store without any extra steps.

    Tips and Tricks

    Conditions

Many of these eggs only appear under specific biomes or weather conditions, so patience is key. For example, the Windy Egg can only be found during Windy Weather, while the Blizzard Egg requires Snowy Weather to appear on a mountain top. Similarly, the Rainy Egg is only visible during Rainy Weather, and the Hellish Fire Egg requires you to jump below a bridge in the Hell Biome. Being aware of the right conditions and locations is crucial for finding these hidden eggs.

    Speed and Efficiency

Make use of any auras or movement boosts you have to reach high or hidden locations, as these can be essential for finding some of the more elusive eggs. Auras and boosts can help you access hard-to-reach spots, such as mountaintops or caves, that would otherwise be difficult to get to. With the right abilities, you’ll be able to track down eggs in tricky or elevated areas that might otherwise seem out of reach.

    Server Hopping

If you’re having difficulty locating a particular egg, consider switching servers to land in the correct biome. Since some eggs are tied to specific biomes, hopping between servers can give you a better shot at finding the right environment. This approach helps you move between different settings quickly, increasing the likelihood of encountering the conditions needed for the egg to spawn.
