HoYoverse finally announces Honkai Star Rail x Fate release date with 5-star Archer and 5-star Saber – plus Archer is free

HoYoverse finally announced the Honkai Star Rail x Fate collaboration release date during the second HSR concert, including details about which characters will join the space game’s roster. HSR x Fate kicks off on July 11, 2025, in an event called Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail, and it adds two new 5-star characters from the Fate series to HSR’s list of playable characters.

One of them is Saber, a 5-star Destruction character with wind as her element. Saber, aka Artoria Pendragon, is one of Fate’s main characters and first debuted in 2004’s Fate/Stay Night. Saber will run for the usual length of time in a limited event banner. The second Fate character in HSR is Archer, another long-time favorite. Archer is a 5-star Hunt character with quantum as his element, and anyone who logs into Honkai Star Rail during Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail will get him for free.

HoYoverse said the free Archer giveaway will last through the end of Honkai Star Rail 3.6. Based on the game’s current update calendar, that’d be sometime in November 2025. Assuming the free Archer event is like the time HoYoverse gave Dr Ratio away, you’ll probably only need to be at the story’s beginning, at the point where you unlock the warp function.

Saber will have “exciting” interactions with the Trailblaze crew during the event’s associated story missions. Fate writer Kinoko Nasu penned the crossover event’s story, and artist Takashi Takeuchi created the Honkai Star Rail versions of Archer and Saber.

HoYoverse also teased a new Honkai game during the concert, though had no further information to share at the time.

Fortnite Galactic Battle Roadmap: All Star Wars Content Coming in Chapter 6 Season 3
With Chapter Six, Season Three, Fortnite is reliving the thrill of the Galactic Battle with Star Wars as its central theme. Despite being a short season, popular characters from the franchise are expected to arrive throughout the month-long celebrations.

Epic Games has finally revealed the roadmap for this season, including all the characters and the weapons that will arrive over the next few weeks.

What to Expect in the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 Galactic Battle Roadmap

Galactic Battle is expected to be the shortest season so far, coming to a close in a little over a month. Here’s what Epic Games is adding to the island in the forthcoming updates:

May 8
- Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia skins will make it to the Item shop.
- Mace Windu Holograms will give you the Purple Lightsaber and teach you the Force Pull ability.
- Darth Maul Holograms will give you the Red Lightsaber and teach you the Force Throw ability.
May 15
- Chewbacca is set to make a comeback to the island along with the Wookie Bowcaster and the CA-87 Jawa Scatter Blaster.
May 22
- Mandalorian NPCs will join the battle. You will be able to recruit a Heavy, Scout, Supply, or Medic Mandalorian to your team.
- Heavy Jetpack returns along with the Amban Sniper Rifle and the new dual-wield WESTAR-34 Blaster Pistols.

May 29
- You finally get to use a Star Destroyer in Fortnite during the Galactic Battle season. A portal to the control room will spawn in every match. In the control room, you take control of the turbolaser and obliterate your enemies.
June 7
- This is the final showdown of the season and will include an in-game narrative live event where you go up against Emperor Palpatine. This could likely be followed by a downtime, leading into the new season.

Star Gazers and Observatory Kickstarter Preview

There are two new space-themed games coming to Kickstarter from 25th Century Games. Star Gazers is a tile-laying game with art from Vincent Dutrait while Observatory is a roll and write that has players mapping out the night sky.

In this video preview, Phil and I talk about how each game plays and our thoughts after a couple of games. These are two very different space games that are worth checking out.

magic the gathering – Interaction between Keiga, the Tide Star and Aggressive Biomancy

You will gain control of a creature for each of the X Keigas you created and at most one fight will happen. You decide the order.

When the Keigas enter the battlefield, each of them triggers the fight ability, then the legend rule happens. You have to choose any one Keiga you control (original or one of the tokens) and the rest die. This is a state-based action.

704.5j If two or more legendary permanents with the same name are controlled by the same player, that player chooses one of them, and the rest are put into their owners’ graveyards. This is called the “legend rule.”

This happens after the fight abilities trigger, but before they enter the stack:

704.3. Whenever a player would get priority (see rule 117, “Timing and Priority”), the game checks for any of the listed conditions for state-based actions, then performs all applicable state-based actions simultaneously as a single event. If any state-based actions are performed as a result of a check, the check is repeated; otherwise all triggered abilities that are waiting to be put on the stack are put on the stack, then the check is repeated. [..]

You are left with one Keiga; the other X Keigas die and trigger their death ability. Both the fight abilities and these death abilities are waiting to enter the stack.

State-based actions area checked again and, if none apply, all the triggered abilities enter the stack in the order of your choice. You pick the relevant targets as you put each ability on the stack.

603.3b If multiple abilities have triggered since the last time a player received priority, the abilities are placed on the stack in a two-part process. First, each player, in APNAP order, puts each triggered ability they control with a trigger condition that isn’t another ability triggering on the stack in any order they choose. (See rule 101.4.) Second, each player, in APNAP order, puts all remaining triggered abilities they control on the stack in any order they choose. Then the game once again checks for and performs state-based actions until none are performed, then abilities that triggered during this process go on the stack. This process repeats until no new state-based actions are performed and no abilities trigger. Then the appropriate player gets priority.

Then the stack starts resolving. If you chose to keep a token Keiga for the legend rule and the other creature is still being controlled by your opponent, that fight can happen. No other fight can happen because the Keiga it originated from will be dead to the legend rule.

701.12b If one or both creatures instructed to fight are no longer on the battlefield or are no longer creatures, neither of them fights or deals damage. If one or both creatures are illegal targets for a resolving spell or ability that instructs them to fight, neither of them fights or deals damage.

So in total: If you created X Keigas with Aggressive Biomancy, you take control of up to X creatures because X Keigas will die to the legend rule. If you kept a token Keiga for the legend rule, it will fight the other targeted creature if it’s still controlled by your opponent. You choose the order of control changes and the fight.

New Star Citizen free event is the perfect chance to play big MMO and space game

Star Citizen has taken on almost mythic proportions over the years. Its creator, eager to outdo the visions of outer space offered by games like Eve Online, No Man’s Sky, and Starfield, has been working on fleshing out a wildly ambitious MMO simulation for more than a decade now, even as other projects in its wheelhouse come and go. Given how long the game has been in active production, though, it can be hard for interested players to know when to give Star Citizen a shot. Luckily, there’s no better time than now, since a current ‘free fly’ event makes it easier than ever to give the game a look.

Star Citizen can be a bit daunting to approach, especially given how dense its take on the space game genre has become over time. The ideal way to dip into it is through one of its free trial events, which not only provide missions for new players to situate themselves in its sprawling world, but don’t cost anything to try.

The current free fly event allows anyone to check out Star Citizen by signing up for an account and downloading the game for free. After completing its introductory missions, players can sample some of the activities available in the massively multiplayer space sim, piloting a roster of six different ships or heading out on foot to explore the game’s far future setting. It’s a great opportunity for anyone curious to see what the space sim is all about, or to check in on how it’s been coming along over the many years it’s been available to the public.

Star Citizen’s current free event runs until next Monday April 28. You can sign up to take part in it at the official website right here.
