  • What happens when Grond attacks, and then loses his creature status?


    Grond, the Gatebreaker is a 5/5 artifact vehicle with the following text:

    As long as it’s your turn and you control an Army, Grond is an
    artifact creature.

    We were faced with two different scenarios last night, both I think are related. In both scenarios I have Grond, and control a 2/2 Orc Army and no other creatures. Attackers have been declared, and Grond is attacking.

    Scenario 1: Opponent destroys the Orc Army with an instant before blockers are declared. As Grond is now no longer a vehicle, is he still attacking as a 5/5? Or is he removed from combat?

    Scenario 2: Opponent blocks Grond with a grizzly bears equiped with Barrow-Blade. Grond loses all abilities. Presumably, Grond is now "just" an uncrewed vehicle and is removed from combat?

    My guess is both scenarios are essentially the same and Grond is removed from combat. But, wanting confirmation. No rulings on Grond around this issue.

    Is Dune Awakening down? While we still love single-player games, but there’s also something to be said for the chaotic joy to be had in multiplayer experiences – especially massively multiplayer ones.

    One of the few downsides that comes with playing with friends and strangers around the world is the instability of online servers. As a survival MMO, Dune Awakening could be victim to severe server downtime, so if you’re struggling to get into Arrakis, that could be why. Here, we’ve got the latest on maintenance in the crafting game, and the current Dune Awakening server status.

    The Dune Awakening servers will be down for maintenance on Sunday June 8 from 1am PDT / 4am EDT / 9am BST / 10am CEST. The downtime is expected to last for two hours, but develop Funcom says it will bring servers back online as soon as the patching process is complete.

    Funcom adds, “Please note that, for the first few days, we may patch daily and will try to stick to a similar maintenance time.” While the game launched into early access on Thursday June 5 at 7am PDT / 10am EDT / 3pm BST / 4am CEST, some players are having trouble finding any available servers.

    If this is the case for you, the game’s official X profile has shared some suggestions. The first is that Steam may have incorrectly loaded the day one patch. In this case, simply try restarting your game.

    Meanwhile, if you played the beta, you could still be connecting to beta regions, so click ‘Change Region’ to double-check you’re in the right place.

    Early access is available ahead of the Dune Awakening release date on Tuesday, June 10 for players who have preordered the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of the game. If you want to get online early, you can upgrade your standard edition copy, or purchase one of these editions if you don’t already own the game.

    So, that’s the latest on the Dune Awakening server status. If you can’t get online right now, you could try a Dune Awakening private server. Alternatively, you can always have a go at some of our other favorite survival games, or peruse our list of upcoming PC games on the horizon.

    May 31, 2025:  We’ve added a few steps FromSoftware recommends following if you’re having trouble with Elden Ring Nightreign matchmaking.

    Is Elden Ring Nightreign down? It isn’t often that you have to check the server status of a FromSoft game, but Nightreign is a different beast completely. While you have the option of taking on the game’s many bosses alone, it’s a much better experience with friends – but for that to happen, the servers need to be online.

    Thankfully, if the Elden Ring Nightreign servers are down, you can still jump in solo. As we mentioned in our Elden Ring Nightreign review, the solo experience can feel punishing for those who aren’t already experienced with the roguelike game. Here is the Elden Ring Nightreign server status so you can plan your adventure accordingly.

    The Elden Ring Nightreign servers are currently online. A large influx of players over the launch weekend may cause server issues, similar to those observed during the first beta test, where many were stuck staring at an offline message until the issue was resolved.

    After the disastrous beta test, the Elden Ring X account posted, “We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the game server issues. Work is currently ongoing to improve the stability of the network test.” Giving us hope that a widespread issue like that won’t happen again. Here’s how to play Nightreign solo if you have to, though.

    How to fix Elden Ring Nightreign matchmaking issues

    If you’re still having trouble matchmaking in Elden Ring Nightreign, FromSoftware’s official player support socials recently put out this relatively simple suggestion that might make all the difference:

    “If you encounter issues finding other players when launching an expedition in #ELDENRING #NIGHTREIGN, please try restarting the matchmaking process. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
