It’s time to revisit Amiga emulation as famous emulator gets huge new update

    Amiga 500

It’s been a little over two years since the last full version update of the best-known and loved emulator for the Commodore Amiga landed, and now, with that amount of time passed, we have just got WinUAE 6. Now, for Amiga fans, this is hugely exciting, especially if you don’t have access to original hardware or space to leave them set up.

Real hardware fans could still sometimes tell the difference between their beige boxes and Amiga emulation, but now with the release of v6 this gap has closed exponentially. Even as advanced as it was, WinUAE could still cause inconsistencies in certain games due to chipset timings, so news that we now have a, “Major update to custom chipset emulation. Internally, almost everything in main chipset emulation has been rewritten.” means we are closer than ever to perfect emulation of this classic piece of hardware,

There is a ton of other changes under the hood, and we will start seeing this version filter into the front-end packages that rely on it soon enough. In the meantime, you can check out the video below for a deeper dive into what’s new.

The Amiga was a machine that is largely responsible for my entire career in games journalism, so I have a very soft spot for it in my heart. Even though we are in 2025 now, it seems Commodore news is coming thick and fast and will only develop further in the coming months.

If you want to get into the world of Amiga emulation with minimum fuss, there is also a new version of Cloanto’s Amiga Forever software that uses the new WinUAE update.

    WinUAE 6 – highlights

You can read the full changelog for WinUAE 6 right here, but we have picked out a few tasty paragraphs that caught our attention.

    • Custom chipset emulation (Agnus/Alice and Denise/Lisa) almost completely rewritten. Almost every part of chipset emulation is now internally cycle accurate.
    • Custom chipset Denise/Lisa emulation is now running in separate thread for large performance increase in accurate emulation modes compared to previous versions.
    • Default configuration is now cycle-exact A500. Previously default was approximate A500.
    • CD32 CD reads should be more real optical drive friendly, when CD32 is reading data sequentially (playing CD streaming animation or video), host side CD sector reads are now also sequential, without periodically re-reading part of previously read sectors.

  • This cryptic Minecraft teaser could be hinting at a big material update

This cryptic Minecraft teaser could be hinting at a big material update

Minecraft developer Mojang loves to keep players guessing when it comes to new updates, innovations, and content. Sure, we’ll eventually get a set of patch notes, a blog post, or a trailer revealing all, but it often throws some breadcrumbs around first. It seems to be at it again, because a cryptic new teaser on Minecraft’s Instagram page has left fans scratching their heads and cooking up some pretty wild theories – however, some science-savvy sleuths appear to have found a connection: copper.

It’s been a busy old month for Minecraft updates and content drops already, with Vibrant Visuals certainly the highlight. Already a mainstay on our best PC games of all time list, Minecraft is now more beautiful than ever thanks to this visual overhaul. However, Mojang is wasting no time teasing what’s next, and there are plenty of educated guesses (and complete stabs in the dark) emerging though.

In a new post on the official Minecraft Instagram account, Mojang shows a humble cave scene. But look a little closer, and you’ll see the letters ‘C’ and ‘U’ carved into the wall, and the numbers ‘2’ and ‘9’ on the floor. As well as these visual clues, a notification can also be seen saying: “Teleported Steve to 29, 11, 63.54.” The caption of the post also ties into this, simply reading: “/tp.”

    YouTube Thumbnail

That’s a weird collection of clues, right? So let’s dive into some of the theories. First, a couple that I think you can disregard, due to them using only some of the available information. For anyone saying that ’29, 11′ is pointing to some kind of major update on November 29, I’d think again – that’s a long old time away. I also don’t believe those thinking that ‘C,’ ‘U,’ and ‘2’ mean that Caves Update 2 is on the way – the original Caves and Cliffs update, which came in two parts, rolled out during 2021. To the Minecraft fan claiming that ‘C U 2 9’ sounds like ‘see you tonight’ and was hopeful some huge news the same day, better luck next time. And finally, if you thought the ‘2’ was some kind of hint that Minecraft 2 might be announced on November 29, don’t get your hopes up.

However, there’s one extremely solid (and extremely nerdy) theory that I think is bang on the money. From what I can see, this was first stated as part of a joint effort in the Instagram comments by ‘meowze_x’ and ‘charles__75,’ and they predict that this is all to do with some kind of update to copper.

I know you don’t come to read this article for a science lesson, but bear with me. In the periodic table of elements, copper is represented by the symbol Cu. Its atomic number is 29, and it’s found in group 11 of the periodic table. Oh, and guess what copper’s atomic mass is: 63.546. So, that all ties in to the visual clues in the cave and the coordinates that Steve has been teleported to. We have a winner.

Minecraft: A screenshot of an instagram post teasing a future Minecraft update

Exactly what Mojang plans to do with copper is the next mystery. Maybe there will be new uses for copper as a material, or new items that you can craft out of it. Another theory is that the Copper Golem – a mob that lost in the final of the 2021 community mob vote and has become something of a niche Minecraft meme – could be added to the game. At this stage, we just don’t know, but it’s almost certainly something copper-related.

We’ll of course keep you in the loop when Mojang finally confirms what it’s up to. In the meantime, check out our guides to the best Minecraft seeds and best Minecraft mods.

  • GTA Online update hints that a long-requested feature may arrive before GTA 6

GTA Online update hints that a long-requested feature may arrive before GTA 6

Sure, GTA 5 and GTA Online have been with us for years now, with dozens of big updates adding new features and content to the Los Santos sandbox. However, there are still some highly-requested things that Rockstar hasn’t got around to implementing. One such feature is mansions – while lavish penthouse apartments are all well and good, players have long wanted massive, decadent homes to symbolize the millions (or sometimes billions) of dollars they’ve accrued over the years. Well, today’s latest major update to GTA Online may be teasing the addition of mansions, hopefully just in the nick of time before GTA 6 arrives.

It’s been going strong for well over a decade, but GTA Online’s days appear to be numbered. While Rockstar hasn’t outlined its plans for its multiplayer experience once the GTA 6 release date arrives, it feels highly likely that a new and improved version of GTA Online, set in the new location of Leonida, will be rolled out. This means that, including today’s latest major update to the GTA 5 version, there’s maybe just a couple of big content drops in Online left before GTA 6 hits.

The new Money Fronts update delivers plenty. There’s a money laundering system that gives you access to more businesses: a car wash, the Smoke on the Water cannabis store, and Higgins Helitours. Consider your business empire expanded. Local money laundering kingpin Mr Faber also has some fresh missions for you to complete, and there are several new vehicles to add to your collection.

It’s a solid update, but what’s even more exciting is a potential teaser that’s been datamined from its code.

    YouTube Thumbnail

As was initially uncovered by ‘floorball’ and shared by the likes of notable GTA news account ‘Tez2,’ the update hints that future Mr Faber missions will involve helping a “client with their luxury property development.” Elsewhere, code for a notification message has been found that reads: “You have earned an exclusive discount on a future property purchase with Prix Luxury Real Estate. They will be in contact again soon when properties become available.”

While this is nowhere near absolute confirmation that mansions will be coming to GTA Online soon, it is highly suggestive that they will be. At the very least, it appears some form of new, high-end residential property will be purchasable after helping out Mr Faber’s client. After years of apartments, it would be nice for this to be a totally new kind of residence, and a mansion would certainly fit both the “luxury” description and the shady business mogul fantasy of GTA Online.

From what I’m seeing online, these luxury property missions aren’t among the Mr Faber missions that are currently live. So, that means that they’ll either arrive at some point over the next few months, or could be added (along with the properties themselves) in GTA Online’s December major update. GTA Online updates are on a six-month cycle, so this would (barring any more delays) potentially be the last big content drop for GTA 5 Online before GTA 6 arrives in May next year. It would certainly be a way to finish with a flourish, as players have been requesting this for a very long time.

GTA Online: A screenshot of lines of code datamined from a GTA 5 update set against an orange backdrop

Another theory is that this could be teasing a feature in GTA 6 Online itself. Completing Mr Faber’s missions in GTA 5 could then get you a discount for a mansion in GTA 6. Given that a mansion featured as your base of operations in GTA Vice City’s story, and GTA 6 will of course be returning to that iconic location, it’s not outside the realm of possibility.

As mentioned, none of this is officially confirmed just yet, and even though it’s been datamined from GTA 5, we shouldn’t jump to definite conclusions.

  • New Cyberpunk 2077 update officially coming soon, as CDPR confirms version 2.3

New Cyberpunk 2077 update officially coming soon, as CDPR confirms version 2.3

Cyberpunk 2077 first came out almost five years ago. Its launch was notoriously rocky, with severe technical issues plaguing the game and interfering with its players’ ability to enjoy one of the most highly anticipated RPGs in years. To its credit, creator CD Projekt Red (CDPR) has continued working on the game, issuing a number of patches, including an overhaul timed to launch alongside the fantastic Phantom Liberty expansion. Even now, while working on new projects like the upcoming Witcher 4, CDPR is still plugging away at Cyberpunk 2077, with news coming today that the studio’s preparing another update to go live in the near future.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a sprawling RPG, so there’s always more to refine and possibilities to add new details into its open world. This seems to be the reason for its makers to issue another patch, which came as a surprise reveal during a CDPR stream earlier today focused on discussing the launch of the game’s Nintendo Switch 2 port.

In it, members of CDPR were asked about the possibility of DLC and announced that a new update was on the horizon, with more details on what it will include set to be detailed later this month. Associate Game Director Paweł Sasko posted on X/Twitter that the patch is something “we have been cooking for you in secret for a bit” while Global Community Director Marcin Momot added, in his own post, that “we’ll start spilling the beans” on the patch when it nears launch.

Cyberpunk 2077’s version 2.3 patch is set to launch on Thursday June 26, 2025.

  • Complete Universal Piece Styles Tier List and Guide [UPDATE 0.5]

Complete Universal Piece Styles Tier List and Guide [UPDATE 0.5]

Fighting Styles in Universal Piece play a big role in how you approach battles and progress through the game. Whether you’re just starting or looking to upgrade your skills, choosing the right style can make a big difference. Each style offers unique moves, strengths, and requirements, allowing players to find what suits them best. In this Universal Piece Styles tier list and guide, we’ll cover how to unlock each style, what makes them stand out, and which one ultimately comes out on top.

    Universal Piece Styles Tier List

In Universal Piece, Styles scale with the Melee stat which also increases your energy. The auto-unlocked Combat Style is a solid starter choice but sits at C-tier due to its basic move and limited power, while Cyborg Style lands in A-tier thanks to its flashy tech-based attacks and strong damage. Cursed Fist Style stands at the top in S-tier, offering powerful combos and excellent versatility that make it the best option for serious fighters.

Cyborg Style, inspired by Genos, features high-tech abilities such as the Plasma Gun and Blazing Impact, making it effective for burst damage and PvE scenarios. Cursed Fist Style, modeled after Yuji, is the best of the three due to its powerful and visually striking abilities like Smash Fall and Bursting Strike, offering superior damage, mobility, and overall combat effectiveness, justifying its high cost and advanced requirements.

How to Change Style in Universal Piece

In Universal Piece, players can freely swap and change fighting styles by visiting the specific NPCs who teach them. The Combat Style is automatically given when you start the game, so you can always return to it without any cost. To switch to Cyborg Style, head to Cold Island and talk to the Cyborg Master after collecting 50 Cores, 100 Gold, and one million Yen. For the powerful Cursed Fist Style, visit the Cursed Teacher on Shinuya Island with five Cursed Force, 9000 Gold, and seven million Yen. • Definitive Volleyball Legends Abilities Guide and Tier List [UPDATE 20] – Best Abilities for Each Position

Definitive Volleyball Legends Abilities Guide and Tier List [UPDATE 20] – Best Abilities for Each Position

If you’ve seen others score some easy points using special moves that you haven’t seen before, then they are definitely using abilities. Compared to styles, abilities in Volleyball Legends aren’t necessarily stronger the rarer they are. Still, some stand out from the rest. So, here is a Volleyball Legends abilities tier list to help you choose the right one for you.

    Volleyball Legends Abilities Tier List

We decided to rank abilities in the above tier list based on how useful they are in Volleyball Legends Pro servers. Playing on Pro servers assumes that your team will be more coordinated and ready to play off of each other. Volleyball Legends is all about team play, and most abilities are designed with that in mind. However, skills like Redirection Jump, Super Sprint, and Steel Block can be even more useful when playing with random players.

Best Abilities for Spiking, Blocking, Setting, Serving, and Receiving

In contrast to the tier list, some abilities in Volleyball Legends are way more useful, depending on your play style. With that in mind, below are a few abilities that pair up well with some styles from our Volleyball Legends styles tier list:
